PREPARATION
We suggest one of the following methods to enjoy your mushroom trip:
- Tried and true – Chew, swallow, enjoy. Effects are typically felt within 30-45 minutes. Remember the fuller your stomach the longer it will take to kick in. We suggest consuming on an empty stomach for quicker and stronger vibes.
- Warm and cozy – Make yourself a powerful elixir by crushing up the desired amount of dried mushrooms and steeping in hot (not boiling) water. High temperatures may destroy the powerful ingredients you are about to consume. For added flavour pair with your favourite tea or matcha!
- Convenient – Pop a microdose capsule. Please refer to suggested dosing schedules for further information.
- The sneaky dose – Our products can be added to virtually any food. Add to a forager pizza, cashew alfredo sauce, or bone broth soup. Remember to add at the end of the cooking process to preserve the dose. Visit our recipes page for more!
- Hydrate – Place ground, dried mushrooms in a cup and cover with lemon juice. Stir and leave it to brew for 20 minutes Fill glass with sparkling or still water, stir, and enjoy. The vitamin C and ascorbic acid of the lemon juice amplify the psilocybin while detoxifying and hydrating the skin!

INTENTIONS AND PREPARATIONS
We believe the best way to enjoy mushrooms is through an informed and prepared practice. Set the tone for a safe journey with the following considerations:
ASK YOURSELF – What am I hoping to achieve by enjoying this product? What outcomes am I seeking? What areas of my life require more focus or energy? These products will help steer your course but YOU set the direction.
SHARE – For your first mushroom journey we strongly suggest you share the experience with a trusted friend or partner. This person will serve as a guide or safe companion. Choose a cozy, comfortable environment. For some people that’s at home on the couch with a warm blanket. Others may feel more drawn to an outdoor space. What feels right for you?
SLOW DOWN – No need to rush! Take some time for yourself and allow a full 24 hour cycle in which to consume, enjoy and process your experience. No driving while enjoying mushrooms…but a walk in the woods would be just right.
SWITCH OFF – Use this time to give yourself a much needed technology and social media break. Your instagram feed can wait…and who knows…you may not even miss it.
HYDRATE! – Water (as always) will be your best friend. Mushrooms tend to dehydrate the body so drink up. Our recipes section include several delicious ways to consume mushrooms while hydrating and nourishing your skin.
YOU ARE IN CONTROL – Want to ease up? Sugary drinks will ease the effects of the psilocybin. Take some deep, cleansing breaths and enjoy a dark chocolate square (or two).
THIS IS YOUR TRIP – Breathe and honor wherever the journey takes you. If enjoying mushrooms with friends or loved ones remember this will be a different experience for everyone. Some may wish to chat or brainstorm, others may prefer to go quietly inward. You do you!
HOW DO I KNOW MICRODOSING IS WORKING?
Since a microdose is meant to be non-psychoactive it is difficult to measure its effects without being very conscious of yourself. Some self-reflection is required to understand your improvements. You can track the effects with this ‘Check Yourself’ checklist. Most likely, you won’t be affected in all areas, but it’s important to take a comprehensive review of the effects. There are 7 areas to track:
- Mental: Notice the thoughts running through your mind. Are they the same as usual, or different in nature? Are you having more or fewer thoughts than usual? In general, is your mind more clear or more cluttered?
- Creative: Are you finding new qualities in things, like stories in objects? Do you find your mind wandering in directions it doesn’t usually? Are you getting more ideas than usual? Do solutions to problems come more easily?
- Emotional: Do your feelings take on any different qualities than before? Are there more or fewer feelings experienced than usual? How quickly do you process them before reaching a resolution and moving on? Is sex better, or a different quality?
- Social: How are you expressing your thoughts and feelings? Are there any changes in the pacing, tone, or nature of your speech? What about your facial expressions? Do you smile more or less? What frequency do you agree or disagree with someone in conversation? Do you talk differently with your coworkers, spouse, friends and family? The barista at the local coffee shop?
- Body: Take a look at how aware (or not aware) you are of your body. Now zoom in on the body by closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths. Slow your mind and place your full attention on any sensations in your body. Do you notice anything?
- Capabilities: Notice if you’re more able to complete certain tasks than usual. This might manifest as changes in attention span, physical/visual acuity, verbal fluidity, problem solving ability, empathy, different areas of awareness, and so on.
- Outlook: Are you more positive or negative? More optimistic
